A recreation of the Atoll island from the 1995 movie Water World. The Atoll is a man-made island made of metal floating on water. It is used as a city for those who survived the nonstop rising of the ocean. I created all of the models apart from the tree. I did extensive research on the behind-the-scenes of the film to recreate the actual island of the movie as accurately as possible. When researching how the actual structure was built, I learned that the Atoll was made up of nine different structures which were then placed together. I replicated their technique and modeled the island in nine distinguishable sections. I turned this in for my first 3D Modeling Class. This was also my first big project in Maya.
